I was really looking for something to supplement our reading lessons. We have been using Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons and the lessons have been going pretty well. But Janelle needed something to really boost her reading confidence. I read about Reading Bear in an thread on this forum. I figured it was another reading program like Little Reader. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it was FREE, and even more thrilled to see this is exactly what she needed. We started the lessons yesterday and she loved it. The lessons are short, and the method supports what we are already doing. Check it out for all the details.
"If Psalm 1 is to be believed, we must not allow our children to stand, sit or walk with those who deny biblical truth and morality. Instead, we must place them in situations that will aid them in meditating on the law of the Lord 'day and night.' Surely this involves how and where they are to be educated." — Voddie T. Baucham Jr.
